Best shiatsu foot massager for home relaxation

If your feet are tired and aching at the end of a long day, a Shiatsu massage might be just what you need to pamper yourself a little and feel more relaxed. Shiatsu is a form of massage that originated in Japan that involves putting high amounts of pressure on sensitive points to heal and relax the recipient.

For an easy way to get a Shiatsu foot massage at home, try one of these top rated Shiatsu foot massagers:

1. Belmint Shiatsu Foot Massager (Link)

The Belmint Shiatsu Foot Massager lets you easily personalize your foot massage. The easy-to-read control panel sits right on the top front of the machine so you can clearly see all the functions while you’re sitting down. From this panel, you can control the speed, intensity, kneading, and vibration levels of your massage. The buttons are large and easy to press with your toes and allow you to control each setting to make your massage as mild or intense as you choose.

This massager only fits feet up to a men’s size 12 and delivers a deep kneading and therapeutic massage to the bottoms and sides of your feet. While the tops of your feet don’t get any massage, the pockets where you insert them are quite deep so your whole foot will experience the benefits of the heating action.

At about 12 pounds, this is a heavier machine than some of the others we reviewed. Weight isn’t a huge deal with these machines if you’re just planning to use them at home, but this one isn’t a great one to travel with. Despite being heavy, it’s a compact size that will be easy to store under your bed or in a closet when you’re not using it.

2. Belmint Deep-Kneading Shiatsu Foot Massager (Link)

This is another design from Belmint that’s a bit less expensive and doesn’t have as many features as the Belmint Shiatsu Foot Massager but still packs enough of a punch to relieve your feet with a deep massage at the end of a busy day.

Dual footbeds have 18 massage nodes for deep kneading treatment to both feet. A simple power button centered in the top front of the massager makes it really easy to get started. Just sit down and use your foot to press the wide, flat button before resting your feet on the soft mesh pads to enjoy your massage. There’s also a heating element to provide extra relief.

The foot pads are adjustable so you’ll be able to get your feet comfortably in place regardless of what chair you’re using or what position your prefer to sit in. There are a lot of massaging nodes in this machine so you may need to ease yourself into using it regularly if you’re not used to experiencing that much pressure.

As we mentioned, this is a very basic machine. It only has one speed and isn’t really customizable. That said, if you’re looking for something really simple, this is a great one to try.

3. Beurer Foot Massager (Link)

Give your feet a treat with the Beurer Foot Massager. With 18 rotating massage heads, your feet will get the care and attention they need at the end of a long, busy day. This machine is compact and lightweight and is easily portable. Take it with you on vacation or when you go on a business trip so you can relax at the end of a long day.

One cool thing about this one is that you can adjust the height in each of the corners individually with a series of twisting pegs. You can use it to tilt the machine or, if you’re on the short side, lift it a little higher off of the ground so you’ll be more comfortable when you use it.

The massaging tips on this machine are a little firm. While they’re meant to stimulate tissue and hit deeper pressure points, you might find them a little bit uncomfortable until you get used to using them.

4. Homedics FMS-270H Deep Kneading Shiatsu Foot Massager (Link)

The HoMedics FMS-270H Deep Kneading Shiatsu Foot Massager is another great option that’s effective but still easy to use. It has 6 different rotational heads and a total of 18 nodes altogether, 9 for each foot. The nodes work on your heel, midsole, and forefront. A red LED light turns on when the heating activated.

While you get a pretty good massage with this machine, the heating element leaves a lot to b e desired. It doesn’t get too hot so if you like your massages with a bit of heat, this probably isn’t the choice for you.

It’s really lightweight at about 6 ½ pounds which makes it easily portable. Use it in the bedroom, take it to your office, lend it to a friend. It’s size also makes it easy to store when you’re not using it. Much like the other Shiatsu massagers we reviewed, this one can be a little uncomfortable at first if you’re not used to the intensity and pressure these massagers give you.

This machine is also not ideal for people with large feet or high arches. The nodes won’t sit right on your feet and the massage will not be effective because they won’t be able to reach the right spots. Another downside is that there isn’t any way to customize the positioning of this machine so it might be a little difficult to get your feet correctly placed on the massage heads.

5. Best Choice Products Shiatsu Foot Massager (Link)

The Shiatsu Foot Massager from Best Choice has 4 different automatic modes that can deeply and effectively massage your toes, arches, heels, and even the sides of your feet. Relieve tension and stimulate circulation with the pulsing, kneading, and rolling actions.

The large control panel has buttons that you can easily manipulate with your toes but you’ll also get a remote control with this massager. Program up to 3 customizable profiles and the remote allows you to easily switch between them. You can also increase the speed and change the direction of the massagers with just the press of a button.

This massager is available in a few different colors, including burgundy, black, and red. It’s compact design allows for easy storage but it is a little too heavy for travel at just over 13 pounds.

If you’re looking for the perfect way to relax after a long, hard day, try a Shiatsu foot massage. These machines are an easy, affordable way for you to pamper yourself at home.
