The pink bardot bandit
We’ve seen the trend around. Watched it walk the runway. Spotted it in magazines. We have all been there, and now, we are here. Inspired by the off-shoulder movement, I decided to combine two of my most love trends into one OOTD for Mila, the bardot and the high-waisted short. Deciding to sweeten it up with by choosing soft crepe fabric in the prettiest of pinks and today I showcase that ensemble I’ve dubbed, the bardot bandit.
Cold shoulder
The flared sleeve has made a comeback in a major way. Even though this top has an expose shoulder, the long sleeve adds a touch of modesty, which I quite enjoy.
High-waist over low-rise
High-waisted shorts are the ideal choice of garment for kids. No matter if they’re doing, swinging on the jungle gym, enjoying some teddy tennis or raising arms up high to hula the hoop like a pro. You’ll find that the belly is mostly covered protecting their innocence from unsuspecting eyes of passers-by and non-parental folk.
The butterfly effect
I decided to add a pink butterfly in the bottom corner of the top. I felt the OOTD needed something to add to its whimsy and innocence.
The look is finished off with a silver gladiator style sandals. The statement shoe could be considered garish but it is the perfect accessory to your outfit and just enough spunk to make a statement.
It’s not that hard to incorporate current trends into your wardrobe and I do hope that you found inspiration to amp up your kids style in a way that is practical and fashionable.
